Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid

Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid is the latest sleep aid to hit the market. It promises to provide relief for “occasional sleeplessness.” The manufacturer provides little to no information regarding the actual product other than it is “maximum strength.”  What does “maximum strength” mean? Your guess is as good as ours. I guess we can be glad it isn’t just normal strength (note sarcasm).

Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid is an antihistamine that has moderate sleep inducing effects but won’t do anything substantial. Let’s take a closer look at Compoz.

What’s in Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid?

The only ingredient in Compoz Sleep Aid that the manufacturer discloses is diphenhydramine. This leaves us to wonder whether diphenhyramine is the only ingredient in Compoz or just the only ingredient disclosed.

What is diphenhydramine?  Diphendydramine is an over-the-counter antihistamine that is traditionally used to fight allergies as well as allergic reactions, bug bites, and motion sickness. It was invented in 1943 in Ohio by Dr. George Rieveschl. It is a natural sedative and helps promote smoother muscle contractions. It is found in other pills such as Tylenol PM, Nytol, and Sominex. The US Food Drug Administration prohibits companies from including more than 50 milligrams of diphenhyrdamine.  One dose of Compoz contains exactly 50 milligrams of diphenhyramine.

Its power to help fight insomnia is limited but it can have some impact.

Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid’s Lack of Disclosure of Information

The lack of information that Compoz provides about its product is a definite red flag. The only information given about the actual product is contained in two sentences. This is bad for a reviewer of a product but even worse for the consumer. We are just left to guess and wonder.

Is Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid Worth Purchasing?

If you are serious about fighting sleep aids, Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid is not going to be what you want.If I had to sum up Compoz Night Time Sleep Aid in one word it would be: weak.
