Dream Water
Dream Water claims to be “the first water that helps you relax and fall asleep.” It contains zero calories. Having a sleep aid in a liquid form is a novel idea but Dream Water has a few flaws. It has a decent ingredient profile but is way overpriced. Let’s take a closer look at Dream Water.
What’s in Dream Water?
Dream Water is comprised of three main ingredients:
GABA.Gaba (also known as Y-Aminobutyric Acid) has been around since the early 1950’s. It is used for several different purposes. Gaba is a neurotransmitter and has been shown to have a mild calming effect. GABA is a sleep ingredient that must be taken at the right dosage. Too much GABA and it will actually increase anxiety, too little and you won’t get any of the effects. It is recommended to intake 190 mgs four times daily.
Melatonin. Melatonin is a proven sleep aid ingredient. It helps the body control its own internal clock. The more melatonin in the body, the sleepier you will become. That being said, it must be taken at the correct dosage and has been linked to several side effects. Common side effects of melatonin include fatigue, headache and irritability.
5-HTP. 5 HTP is a wild card ingredient in Dream Water. It is traditionally used in weight loss supplements. 5-HTP can help with sleep orders because it increases the amount of seratonin in the body.
The exact quantities of the ingredients in Dream Water is not disclosed. We understand that some companies want to hide their formulas from competitors (or their weak ingredient formulas from consumers), but not disclosing the quantities make judging the effectiveness of a product near impossible.
Does Dream Water work?
Because of the lack of disclosure from the company, we are left to wonder as to the effectiveness of Dream Water. It contains a few quality ingredients. Customer reviews have been mixed.
Does Dream Water work faster than sleeping pills?
Because Dream Water is in liquid form, you will feel its effects faster than a normal pill. That being said, the difference is not substantial and won’t make a real difference.
How does Dream Water taste?
Dream Water is bearable but doesn’t taste great. Dream Water comes in 3 flavors: Lullaby Lemon, Snoozeberry, and I Dream of Kiwi.It tastes somewhat like Vitamin Water but with a funky aftertaste.
How much is Dream Water?
Dream Water comes in two different sizes: a 2.5 ounce shot or an 8 ounce drink.
A 6 pack of each costs $19.99. If you wanted one for each night for a month that will set you back $100. This is very expensive compared to other sleep aids.
Is there a money back guarantee?
There is a 30 day money back guarantee although the guarantee only covers unopened bottles. This is better than nothing, but doesn’t show a lot of confidence of the manufacturer in their product (they don’t guarantee opened bottles).
Is Dream Water worth purchasing?
Dream Water is an average sleep aid that costs way too much.
